WEST JERSEY PRESBYTERY
Two Cents a Meal
Hunger Offering of the Presbytery of West Jersey
What it is:
- An easy, relatively painless way to make a difference in worldwide, national, and local hunger needs
- A great opportunity for those who can't pass up a chance to put in their two cents worth!

(184K)
How it works:
- Families contribute 2 cents per person per meal to the offering.
- Special banks are made and given to each participating family to keep on their dining or kitchen tables
- Once per month (or quarter), churches collect a special offering in which families bring their collected pennies back to the church.
Where it goes:
25% stays in the local church for local hunger relief
The remaining 75% is sent to the Presbytery. Of that:
- 35% is dedicated to international hunger relief
- 25% is dedicated to national hunger relief
- 10% is dedicated to Presbytery-wide education and hunger awareness
- 5% is dedicated to advocacy and public policy
Sessions and Mission Committees of the churches in the Presbytery are strongly urged to consider making this offering a part of your mission giving. For more information,
